TapMyNotes 2.3 was released on App Store!
What's New in this Release
This update focuses on improving location features, reliability, and overall usability.
- Faster GPS information display & update — Views with the current location details and related calculations now appear much more quickly, dramatically reducing waiting time.
- Smart PACE Optimization — The PACE section in the Tap Info view is the calculation result of time over distance as time per km/mile. It now intelligently filters out odd calculation results (for example, 2 years and 3 months) when viewing stationary taps in the past, cleanly displaying "over 60 minutes" instead.
- Better location status feedback — Clear messages are now shown when location services are unavailable or restricted, helping you understand why location information may not be updating. For example, the location setting in your device or the app was changed to Never or Restricted, or you are in an area with poor GPS reception.
- Improved GPS support in China — Enhanced handling of map view for your current location and past tap locations while in China, with the accurate pins displayed on the map. Resolved an issue where location pins drifted between 100m and 1km from their actual positions in previous versions.
- Altitude information — Altitude is now included in the current location view.
- Updated app information screens — Improved layouts, better readability, Dark Mode support, and easier navigation.
- Added database information — Database summary is now included in an app information screen with the up-to-date details about your stored data.
- Stability and reliability improvements — Fixed several performance and crash issues related to maps, search results, sorting, and location updates.
Thank you for using TapMyNotes — making life's moments simpler to capture and more meaningful to keep.
